That biodynamic rosé Pet Nat, made from 100% Pinot Noir, was fresh, lively, and delicious with lunch. The Sauvignon Blanc we tasted from the barrel was so good we enjoyed it again at home. We discovered Weingut Kögl in July and, on a sunny day in Paris, I’m already looking forward to another summer in Steiermark. The 300-year-old "Buschenschank" is a charming place to stay and have a drink, with wine-road views that make you feel immersed in the region. Tamara was an amazing host, and her commitment to winemaking, terroir, and protecting nature really comes through. R.E.S.P.E.C.T., as the label says. (Still waiting for my phone to add a white wine emoji!)

The Welschriesling and aged Sauvignon Blanc especially stood out, and we’re looking forward to opening the bottles we bought for a special occasion. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful tasting of the winery’s range. The owner made us feel very welcome and was wonderfully hospitable. We highly recommend Kogl winery and can’t wait to return.

The food was great, and the wine tasting with Tamra, the winery owner, was even better. I’ve visited wineries around the world, and this is the best one I’ve been to. The wines are top quality. Highly recommend.

We’d been hiking for a few hours and stopped at several wine spots, but this one was especially charming. The view was wonderful, the service super friendly and funny, and the wine was outstanding. Prices were good too. I’ll come back a thousand times. Thanks, kellner #2!

The views are perfect, and the staff are friendly. There’s good food, though it’s mostly cold dishes like sliced salami and other specialities. The wine is made in an organic, natural style, which may not be to everyone’s taste.
