The breakfast room felt like a private living room, with a buffet and drinks, wine, coffee, and snacks you could take during the day and record on an order list. The owner, Elisabeth, was warm, always ready with a joke, and happy to cook an egg just how you wanted it at breakfast or help with other requests. There’s also a lovely little pool. We stayed for a weekend to take part in the St. James's Day hike. The location has fantastic panoramic vineyard views, and everything was charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

I had a really bad experience with a "mydays" voucher for the "Rebenhof" hotel. My preferred dates weren’t available, so Rebenhof sent two alternative dates a few days later. I didn’t reply because I’d booked another room by then. The voucher was then marked as "redeemed," even though I never used it. When I called, Ms. Drechsler said I should be grateful she wasn’t charging me an extra cancellation fee. I even contacted the Austrian Consumer Protection Association in desperation, but their mediation attempt also got nowhere with Ms. Drechsler. Voucher users, be careful: once you ask Rebenhof about a room, the voucher is gone!

The rooms are beautiful and the view is wonderful. Breakfast was marvelous too. Very friendly people, with praise for both the owner and staff. Highly recommended.
