I’ve been coming here for years and am heading back in January 2024 for another snowboarding trip. It’s a cosy, homely place from the minute you arrive, with friendly staff who are happy to help. Breakfast is a brilliant buffet and dinner was great, with options for different dietary needs. There’s a pool, plenty of parking, and the village centre is close by. Both ski lifts are walkable, and a regular bus to the lifts stops right at the hotel. Very family friendly, and highly recommended.

The staff serving tables were quick and kind, and the saunas were good. The location gets three stars from me: ski slopes are about 200m away, though they’re narrow and can get crowded, and the small town centre has smelly farms around it. Inside, the place looks and feels old in the wrong way, and the rooms, reception and restaurant are mediocre, nowhere near four-star standard. Breakfast was the same fairly limited buffet each morning. The shower water temperature kept shifting when I wanted to relax after skiing, the balcony door didn’t shut fully so cars and cold came through, and the radiators were only lukewarm. The ski cellar was overfilled with gear, and don’t count on heated boot holders.

The rooms were clean, and breakfast was nice. Dinners were okay too. It’s a pretty old hotel, and I feel its best days may be behind it. I’d give it 6/10.

The location and rooms were okay, though the rooms are a bit dated. That’s about all I can praise. The owner probably shouldn’t be running a hotel. Requests outside the standard rules were refused: we were delayed and asked to have dinner later, but couldn’t; we needed an earlier breakfast to catch a train, also no; then we stayed in the lobby after the bar closed and were told to leave immediately. I won’t go into the details, but lock your room. We ended up calling the police on our last night. The food wasn’t good, apart from the Saturday buffet, which was actually okay. Breakfast was very basic. Hotels are made by people, and this was honestly the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Avoid it if you can.
