Gasthaus zum Platzer

The staff were really helpful and kind. We stayed for one night in December 2016, before Christmas, ahead of a stay at Falkensteiner. Gasthaus zum Platzer gave us a cosy room, all wood inside, and it was warm, though quite small, as was the bathroom. It wasn’t especially clean. There’s not much to do in Renweg or St Peter, so this hotel works for one night before heading to your more worthwhile hotel in the area.

The room was cold, since the heating only came on in the afternoons and still didn’t warm it properly. There was water on the bedroom floor the first night. It was late, so we cleaned it up ourselves. When I got back from snowboarding the next day, there was water again. My new laptop bag, with the laptop inside, was wet and smelled bad, and later I found my clothes on the chair were wet too. I eventually found out it was probably water from the cleaning lady. The front desk lady apologized after I complained, and after I complained again she offered to wash and dry my clothes. One piece of the shower cabin was missing, so we had to take extra care not to get the whole place wet. I’ll definitely choose somewhere else next time.

Friendly staff and nice beds. A good place for one or two nights.

The staff are so nice, and the cozy interior makes this a beautiful place.
