Genusshotel Riegersburg

We spent two nights here for a friend's wedding and loved simply being at the hotel. The spa and pool were really pleasant, while the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast had lots of options, the food was great, and both the setting and views were 10*. Everything was beautiful, and I hope we get to come back one day.

The outdoor pool, steam bath, and sauna were lovely, though I did miss having some sauna oil. I also found it a little sad that a place where everything feels so delicate doesn't use natural cosmetics. The staff and food were amazing, and our stay was exceptional.

There are three hiking routes, from a longer loop of about 4.5 hours to shorter walks around the castle, and the hotel provides a route map. We had a spacious room with a balcony or terrace and a beautiful view of the castle on the rock and the winery. Dinner and breakfast are included: dinner is a four-course meal chosen from the menu, and everything we ate was tasty. The buffet had meats, cheeses, eggs, sausages, vegetables, fruit, fresh juices, good coffee, and several kinds of tea. There’s also a large shared area with a pleasant terrace, good Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, sauna, and parking. The staff were friendly and very polite. A perfect stay in paradise.

The food was probably the best part of the hotel, with everything carefully made from regional products, so make sure you have dinner there. The place feels cozy and familiar, and the staff are very friendly and attentive to the details. There’s also a spa area that’s great for relaxing. Pets are allowed for an extra charge. The surrounding region is beautiful, with local attractions nearby, including Vulcano raw, a regional specialty, and vineyards. Leave yourself time to explore. The hotel is simply amazing.
