The location was very good, but little else about the stay rated positively. The rooms felt closer to a three-star standard, though that was acceptable. Food and most of the service were a major disappointment. There was a very wide selection, but much of it was badly prepared or poor in taste and quality. Breakfast salami smelled as if it had been sliced and kept for a long time. The avocado was sour, and there was cheese and plenty of vegetables pickled in oil. Dessert was burnt pudding, not crème brûlée, and inedible. The kettle only gave lukewarm water for tea. The Asian dishes weren't tasty, and the Thai Pad from the menu was overcooked and awful. When I raised the food quality with a staff member, the waiter simply said, "Das musst ihr sagen der Küche." About 10% of the service was perfect and professional; most of the rest was poor. The service in the lobby and on the afternoon terrace, from the HU or CRO staff, was a disaster. On day one, she apologized, I think to everyone there, for the confusion and waiting. The same thing happened on days two and three. On day four, a different person was serving and everything was professional. If the hotel takes something from this review and learns from it, that's great.

We've been coming back for years, and the hotel has been under new management for the past three. The location gives easy access to the lifts, and we enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts, mid-afternoon snacks, and dinners. Service in the beautifully appointed dining room was excellent. Communication was easy because all the employees spoke English. My one pet peeve was being charged a few Euros for a glass of water. We're not used to paying for tap water.

The meals were fantastic, with plenty of choices, including for the vegetarian in our group. Rooms were well appointed, and the lifts were only a short walk away. It's a great location for skiing in winter.

Breakfast had loads of choice and was really high quality. The staff were super friendly, and three lifts are within walking distance. I'd definitely recommend the hotel for a ski trip.

There are plenty of things to do nearby, and the lifts take you straight into the mountains for hikes and great views. Families will also find fun activities and day trips for children close by. The hotel is in a perfect location. We enjoyed the food and the service. Dinner is a full buffet on Fridays and Sundays, while on the other days you choose the main course from a menu. That kept the meals varied and enjoyable throughout the week. The staff really tried to make us feel welcome, and everything tasted delicious.
