Airporthotel Salzburg

Absolutely disastrous. My girlfriend asked if they could keep her three suitcases for an hour after checkout, and they agreed. Then, all of a sudden, they put the bags on a cart and told us to leave in the rain. I hope the same happens to your people. If you want to get drenched with your luggage, stay here. Otherwise, find one of the nearby hotels at a reasonable price, or just stay at the airport. It’s a bummer that one star is the lowest rating for such a horrible experience.

I needed to be near the airport for an overnight stay before an early flight, and, despite seeing negative reviews on Trip Advisor, was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was smooth. The receptionist was matter-of-fact, neither rude nor especially friendly, and suggested I settle the bill before my early departure. I got the Wi-Fi and key information too. The single room and bathroom were spotless, with a small fridge, comfortable bed, large pillow, and AC that worked well. A sign explained that the windows and balcony doors had to be closed for it to run. It cooled the room quickly, and with the balcony doors shut it was very quiet. I slept well. There’s a convenience store with drinks and sandwiches inside the airport terminal, just four minutes from the hotel. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it if you need to be close to the airport.

The service from the hotel and reception was poor, and their approach to clients was unpleasant. The bed linen was yellow. For that price per night, it was awful.

The breakfast was very good in a pleasant, open restaurant. Staff kept the buffet and my cup stocked, with great results. Reception was efficient, and rooms facing east, like our room 49, have nice mountain views. We didn’t use the bar or fitness area, though both looked good. We headed straight out to eat at one of the many nearby local places. From arrivals, the hotel is just a short walk away, though you need to follow the footpath around to the far side.
