The photos of the house were misleading. The place was filthy, with mice in the kitchen and living room that chewed my backpack. The owner hurried over to collect the balance as soon as we arrived, before giving us a chance to see inside. When we called later about what had happened, HE DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP. We paid €205 for a nightmare of a night. This was a shack, not a house. I've never experienced anything this horrifying, not even at a campsite. Stay away. ABOMINABLE!!!!! Nothing like this has ever happened to me.

“First, put it in the freezer at home to kill all the germs...” The house and garden looked neglected, and dirt showed up in many places once we looked closely. Furniture was damaged, and though the first impression seemed okay, defects kept appearing. The bedspreads were scratchy and made it hard to sleep comfortably. The place smelled stale and old, without any freshness, and the design felt thrown together, especially the indoor mix of balcony and terrace elements. I can't recommend staying here, particularly with children.

We were happy with our stay. It may not suit everyone's taste, but if you're after lots of space, two separate bedrooms, outdoor seating and a fully equipped kitchen, it has those. There's a TV and washing machine, plus a bath and shower with good hot running water and towels. The property is close to Hellbrunn and the city center, and parking there is free.

At night, martens or mice seemed to be scratching around in the attic, making such a racket that I couldn't sleep through the night. The beds were uncomfortable, and the duvets were too thin for February. My mattress had a huge bloodstain and many other marks from bodily fluids. No comment. 🤮 We stayed at Binderhäusl "Vis a vis." In the dark, it looked okay at first, but daylight made the problems obvious. The garden was neglected, with boards and junk scattered around, and the “lawn” looked as if it hadn't been mowed since 2023. Inside, the upstairs stairs felt dangerous and the railing wobbled; some lights didn't work. The cottage seemed unfinished and uncared for, with homemade-looking wall paneling, crooked boards, messy paint and a chaotic, uninviting feel. It does have charm and potential, and with some skill it could be a little gem. But €160 for two nights was too much for those conditions, especially since we only saw the landlord briefly when handing over the money. The bus links to the city and main train station are good, and the location is relatively quiet. The pictures and reviews on booking.com promised something quite different. We knew we weren't booking luxury, but this was unacceptable, much as other people have reported here on Google.

I usually don't like leaving negative reviews, but the gap between the online pictures, probably taken years ago, and what we found was so big that I feel I have to say something. We couldn't find the house when we arrived, not because the owner gave poor directions, but because it looked abandoned. The garden from the photos had become an overgrown lawn beside a weathered wooden structure. Inside, the apartment smelled musty. The pillows looked like they belonged to children, the chandelier over the dining table didn't work, and it was clearly unclean, including the cabinet above the stove and several electrical outlets. The front door handle was broken. The bathroom was worst: spiders everywhere, at least 15 killed on the first night, poor-quality electrical outlets, and mold under the boiler. We paid €330 for two nights out of season, requested upon arrival, and expected at least a clean, decent room.
