Das Edlinger Hotel

The bus stop into town is only a few yards away, and the location was good. Service was excellent, especially from Fahad. The room had different floor levels that were easy to trip over, and I’d expected a lift to the upper floors. The bar closing at 9pm was a real disappointment.

Something new and artsy. The woman at reception was the best! It’s a good place for travelers, with parking and breakfast, and pretty much everything you need. A bit expensive, probably because of the Christmas timing.

There’s parking, and the hotel is not bad. Breakfast was decent with a few things to choose from, although some food seemed reheated. The internet was very poor, almost nonexistent. I wouldn’t choose it again.

The bus stop right outside made it easy to get into town, about a 15 minute ride, and the price worked for us. Staff were generally very friendly, and the funky decor might appeal to younger guests. Salzburg itself is lovely, and the hotel has potential, though it was missing a few things for me. After a stressful day of travel, we badly needed lunch, but there were no snacks or anything to buy at the hotel. It was Saturday, and the local shops were closed. The room was smaller than I expected and short on amenities. Breakfast was okay, but not a big spread. On a 34C summer day, the air conditioning leaked badly. I reported it, then came back from breakfast to find a dehumidifier in the room instead of an air conditioning unit.
