Parkhotel Brunauer

It's an easy 20-minute walk into town, about 1.1km. The hotel was quiet, but there was lots of noise from doors banging at night. It's dated and reminded me of Crossroads in the 70/80's. The on-site restaurant only has four menu options, which can be limiting. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is dated and tired. It wasn't dirty, but the place needs modernizing and a fresh coat of paint. Salzburg seems expensive, which may be why I was a bit disappointed with what we got for the money. Nothing was a major issue, just things like cracked fake leather on the headboard, an old TV without smart features, and a leaky shower.

The staff and breakfast were good, and the hotel is pretty decent with rooms of a decent size. The rooms are very dated, though, and the location was a bit disappointing, especially at night. Apart from that, everything else was good.

The room we were given was meant to be barrier-free, but our wheelchair couldn't fit into the toilet or shower room. They offered us a smaller room with a better shower room, but we'd paid for a superior room and requested barrier-free access, so we turned it down. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone using a wheelchair. It needs a full modernization, including proper barrier-free rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the hotel is 50 years old and showing its age. Its website gives a much better impression than the property itself. Breakfast was unappetizing, and the cooked food seemed to have been made with too much oil.
