Hotel Stein - Adults Only

We come back to this hotel every year to celebrate, and this Valentine’s Day they had balloons, flowers, and chocolates waiting in our room. Such a thoughtful welcome. When food service had ended, the night reception staff even walked us over to the cafe so we could get a late treat. We first stayed here with several guests for our wedding celebrations, and the staff made sure everyone had a lovely time. Kathleen at the front desk is an incredible host. Her service is the best we’ve had at any hotel around the world. If this place could get 10 stars, it would deserve them. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

The rooftop restaurant has wonderful views, and the hotel is right in the heart of Salzburg. It’s an easy walk to the popular sights. Staff were very friendly, and our renovated room was just right for a short stay.

The hotel itself was lovely, but I wouldn’t pay extra for the city view. Our room felt about half the size of the standard room another group in our party had, even though the listed square footage was the same. Their room was much more spacious and comfortable. Save the extra money and enjoy the view from the rooftop instead.

We loved having late night drinks at the rooftop restaurant, and our room was perfect for us. It was cleaned beautifully every day. The staff were so welcoming, and even gave us chocolates as a Christmas gift. The five course Christmas dinner was incredible too. My husband and I spent five nights at Hotel Stein over Christmas, and the location was perfect, with so much to do and see within walking distance. I couldn’t have chosen a better place for the holiday. We’d gladly come back if we’re in Salzburg again.
