Leonardo Hotel Salzburg City Center

It’s an older hotel, but clean and functional, and the nights were very quiet. It’s a little outside the tourist area, with about a ten-minute walk to the heart of Salzburg. There’s also a free transit pass for your stay, handy for a five to ten-minute bus ride into town. We took the bus from the train station to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport, and both trips were easy. You can get early check-in if you join Leonardo's free membership program. They also offer a free drink at the bar if you opt out of room cleaning during your stay. Breakfast costs EUR 15 and has a pretty decent selection.

The location made it easy to enjoy walks to the markets and town centre, climb to the Fortress, or stroll along the river. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed the stay immensely and would go back. I’ve already recommended it to family and friends.

The location is great, and the hotel is clean with friendly staff. We stayed last year and already plan to come back next year. Most of the staff were helpful; one receptionist was a bit hard to deal with at first, though she warmed up to us later.
