Hotel Markus Sittikus Salzburg

Getting around was easy: the train station is about 10 minutes away, Sacher cafe is 10 minutes, the bus stop is 5 minutes, and the Altstadt center is 20 minutes away. I loved the hotel’s lobby area, especially the bar and guest room. I spent a couple of evenings there with drinks and vinyl records, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Don’t miss the experience!

The room and bathroom were both clean, and the staff were amazing and helpful with our travel plans. Breakfast was great, with lots of homemade products. I also loved the public spaces, especially the backyard and living room, and the coffee that’s available 24/7.

The garden was a lovely spot to sit after a long day, and we really enjoyed the common areas. Our room was small, but they’d made good use of the space. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. The location couldn’t have been better, close to the train station, gardens, and old town. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel’s on a quiet street but within walking distance of pretty much everything downtown. We heard a little movement from the upstairs guests, though otherwise it was quiet and the sound insulation was quite decent. Our spacious room had a balcony facing the garden and a very comfortable bed. The staff were lovely, smiling, young, and eager to help. At check-in they showed us the cozy lounge, honesty bar, and quiet garden with its resident pet turtle. Breakfast was very good, though perhaps a bit pricey. Staff brought coffee, and there was a cake of the day alongside the usual options.
