Pension Helmhof

The breakfast is amazing and the views are breathtaking. The hotel is beautiful and quiet, with a bus line nearby that takes you right downtown. The people here treat you like family, they’re unbelievable. I hate leaving reviews, especially when a place is this amazing, because it’ll only make rooms harder to get. If they offered a timeshare or an apartment to own in the hotel, I’d buy one without hesitation. I promise, stay once and you’ll never stay anywhere else.

The room had a balcony looking out over the garden and the mountains beyond, which was lovely, and the continental breakfast was great. It’s a quiet, welcoming B&B on the outskirts of Salzburg. The hosts gave us lots of helpful information. Definitely recommend it if you’re after a peaceful break from the busy city.

The bathroom was new and modern, with a spacious shower and a separate room for the toilet, which was great. I liked the pool, and the staff were friendly. The room was nice, though the pillow was too soft for me. Breakfast didn’t have many options, but it was good enough.

Andrea was a great hostess, always attentive and friendly, and everything was well looked after during our three nights in June 2024. My wife and I had a really nice experience at this typical Austrian guesthouse. The place is calm and away from the noise of the tourist areas. There’s free private parking if you’re driving, and public transport is a 12-minute walk away. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had enough options to get the day off to a good start. I’d certainly stay at Pension Helmhof again if I return to Salzburg.
