The Salzburg mobility pass the receptionist emailed us was a real help, since it let us use local transport for free. The town was about 15-20 minutes away. One thing to know: reception is in Block B, though the hotel has four blocks, A to D, and Google Maps takes you to Block A. It’s also quite a walk from the main train station, so I’d take a bus, especially with luggage. I booked a Classic room, one queen bed, no balcony. It was fairly small at about 16 square metres, and the bed was too soft for me. The bathroom was very dim and could use two extra lights. The interior looked a bit run down, though the room was clean and my stay was still comfortable.

The room was nice, the service was good, and the reception staff were friendly and kind. It was very, very quiet. There was also a noticeable horse manure or fertilizer smell across that part of the city, which I assume may be seasonal.

The bus stop is about 30 metres away, so getting to the city centre and other sights was easy. There’s also free private parking, which came in handy. I had a pleasant, hassle-free stay at Hotel Vogelweiderhof. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. The receptionist was particularly helpful, pointing out nearby attractions and upgrading my stay at no extra cost. Everything was easy to reach, and I’d highly recommend it.

Bus 21 stops right at the hotel and goes straight to the city centre, about a 10-minute drive. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and breakfast was decent, with a slightly lower price for kids. Good value for the money.

A quiet street with three buses serving this stretch made getting around simple. The staff were friendly and helpful with directions around Salzburg and advice on buses to and from the city centre. Our room was clean and cosy, and the kettle worked. A great place to stay.
