Villa Flöckner is conveniently placed, about a five-minute walk from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. There are at least three supermarkets within ten minutes on foot, lots of nearby food options including Asian, Austrian, and Italian, and Getreidegasse is about a twenty-minute walk away. We stayed three nights over Christmas and had a pleasant visit. The staff let us check in a little early without charging extra. We also got public transport passes for the whole stay, which were handy after the first day, though we’d already bought passes for that day and it would have helped to know about them in advance. There is a lift, but it only stops on the middle floors, so you may need to carry bags up or down a short flight of stairs. The room wasn’t big, but the layout made good use of the space, with enough room to move and set down our luggage. The bathroom was a decent size, which was a relief since we’d worried it might be tiny. Breakfast was available on site, so we didn’t have to go out in the morning. The soundproofing could be better, as we heard traffic outside and footsteps on the stairs. Still, we were comfortable, and the warm hospitality, location, and value made it a good option.

The owner and staff were kind, and I had a clean room in the new building. The price was reasonable, the location was good, and breakfast was nice. I’d recommend it. Just one small issue, the kettle wasn’t clean, so I couldn’t use it.

The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the staff were helpful and willing to store our luggage. The room isn’t huge, but it’s well maintained and laid out, and a family of four can be quite comfortable in it. The walk to the hotel is about 7-8 minutes, but the road is rough for rolling bags. That’s not really the hotel’s fault. If your luggage is fragile, take the tram.

I stayed nearly two weeks and was impressed by the standard the owner maintains. The rooms were bright and airy, the beds comfortable, and everything very clean. Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, and the location was ideal for exploring the city.

I was in Salzburg for just 36 hours, and the location made it easy to get around: seven minutes on foot to the main station, two to the river, and fifteen to the historic center. The hotel accommodation was top quality, and the staff had a really personable, family-style feel. Emmanuel provided an excellent breakfast and was friendly and thoughtful. I hope I get to stay here again.
