AFOCH FEI das Landhaus

We loved AFOCH FEI during our three-night ski trip. The chalet has been renovated beautifully while keeping its alpine character, and breakfast was delicious. Everyone was friendly and the service was exceptional. We’d happily return.

Getting to the lifts was easy, with a bus stop right by the hotel, and the "downtown" part of St Anton is just a short walk away. We also appreciated being able to store skis or snowboards free at the Jennewein location by the Nasserein lift, or leave our gear in the hotel’s downstairs locker room. We stayed for a week in Feb 2024. The recently renovated rooms were clean and great, and the staff rearranged the beds to suit our group. The hostess was wonderful, and even helped us get reservations at some amazing local restaurants. Breakfast was included as a buffet, with eggs and bacon cooked to order. Every other day was "cake day," with loads of delicious homemade treats. I had a fantastic trip and will absolutely stay here again when I’m in St Anton. I strongly recommend it.

The bus stop right across the street made getting to the slopes straightforward. It’s one stop to the Nassereinbahn gondola and three stops to St. Anton a. A. Terminal West bus station. Restaurants and bars are only a few minutes away on foot, and we walked back from dinner each night. Ski passes were easy too: Eva sold them to us at the resort price and printed them during breakfast. I spent a week here with two friends. They had room 9, a double with balcony, and I was in room 10, a small double. Eva set each room up with two twin beds instead of one king. They were comfortable, with a heavy down blanket, a huge pillow and a regular sized one. The shower had excellent pressure, and there was plenty of wardrobe storage, a safe for valuables, and plastic trays for snowy boots. The recently renovated property was in great shape, including the rooms, lounge, ski storage and breakfast kitchen. We kept our skis and snowboards in the basement storage area, which has an exterior staircase right outside. You can also leave gear at the Jennewein stores in town, including the one by the Nassereinbahn gondola. Skis and boards aren’t allowed in the rooms. Breakfast, served from 7:30am to 10:00am, came with our reservation and was extremely good. There were cheeses, meats, fruit, rolls, croissants and other pastries, coffee, tea, juice, water, eggs and bacon. Eva and her mother also baked fresh cakes for Cake Day every other day from 4pm to 6pm. That was awesome. The lounge has a cool retro red fridge stocked with beers and wines, which you can have anytime and charge to your room. Our stay was exceptional. I plan to book here next time I’m in St Anton and recommend it to friends and family visiting the area.

For my first trip to St Anton, I couldn’t have picked a better place. Eva-Maria makes the hospitality feel really personal, and it’s a beautiful chalet run by a family. The breakfast deserves a special mention, it was fantastic. Looking forward to coming back.
