We absolutely loved our stay in the Vail apartment at Chesa Platina. It was perfect for our family of five, with everything thought through, from fresh bread each morning to lockers at the ski depot. The ski bus stop was just a minute away. Katerina and the Nobel family were warm, friendly and helpful. Treat the hosts and building with respect and you won’t have a single issue. We’d love to come back one day. Thanks so much for such an incredible stay! Ignore the one-star reviews.

The Nöbl family made us feel welcome and helped when one of us was injured. Mr. Nöbl has been a ski instructor for decades and had lots of interesting stories to share. We stayed at Chesa Platina for five days and had a great time. The apartment was very clean, with a big balcony and a well-equipped kitchen, and there was enough space for four to sit and eat. There’s a nearby bus stop, with buses downtown every 10 minutes. Walking takes around 20 minutes. It was really convenient to leave our ski equipment at Sport Alber downtown. We’d definitely stay here again.

The view was stunning, the beds comfortable and the rooms *very* clean. The owners were friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. The bus to the ski gondola is a short walk away, manageable even with our 3yo. We could leave the skis right at the gondola for the hotel’s charge, which felt like a luxury.

The apartment itself was great: clean, very spacious and with plenty of bathrooms for all six of us. We could also order fresh bread for delivery in the morning. For those things, we’d give it five stars. But the host and the way we were “welcomed” were unacceptable for any hospitality venue. Like the other two Google reviews describing the host, we found him suspicious and unwelcoming, and felt uncomfortable throughout the stay. By the end, I just carried our bags to the car and passed him without looking or saying goodbye. I wanted to get away as quickly as I could.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place to stay. The man watched my every move and kept spying on us. He spent the whole time moaning and complaining, and was completely overbearing. There wasn’t an ounce of hospitality from him, and he shouldn’t be in this job. We felt like we couldn’t be there most of the time because he was constantly checking on us. Any noise at all, and he’d come straight up to tell us off. Then, on our last morning, he started clearing out a room at 5:30am, banging bottles and plates together. An absolute disgrace. Don’t waste your money or let him ruin your trip. Stay away!
