We came back three times in one week. The jägerpfandl and apfelstrudel were great, and the service was good too. The owner does look a bit grumpy, but I'm sure he's a good guy. I'd recommend this place!

The ski setup is so easy here. You can head straight onto the slopes in the morning and ski almost back to the door later, and the team can help sort passes or rentals. After skiing, the sauna is a treat. Rooms come in different styles, the beds are comfortable, everything is spotless, and housekeeping pays attention to the details. The menu has plenty to choose from, including meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes, and the food is full of flavor. Maria, Stefan, Herbert, and the rest of the team make the place feel warm and genuine. They’re friendly, attentive, and somehow keep your glass topped up before you need to ask. We’re always happy to come back. I’m booked again for March 10th and already looking forward to it.

We went in January 2019 with six people, first for drinks and then for dinner later that day. You need to reserve a table. The staff were friendly, especially the Slovakian woman who served dinner. The older man behind the bar, who seemed to be the owner, came across as very unfriendly toward customers, and that put me off returning. I can only speak about the restaurant. The food was decent Austrian fare, somewhere between average and good, but nothing special. A few dishes were too salty. Prices were toward the high end, though not outrageous.

A nice spot for a drink, with quiet music on the terrace and a little shelter from the wind. The Hirschrucken was the dish I’d recommend, while the grillteller wasn’t as good. I didn’t like the note at the bottom of the bill saying the tip isn’t included. In these countries, service is included in menu prices, so I found that misleading. I wouldn’t leave an extra cent at a restaurant that adds that note.

It’s really cozy, and the food is good. The restaurant is right across from the piste, and if you stay here you can get out of bed and be on the piste straight away.
