Alte Gendarmerie - Renate Dirninger

I’ve been back several times and would happily keep choosing this place. The rooms are spotless, and the location works perfectly for exploring the surrounding area. The old listed house has been renovated with care and taste, while keeping its original character. There are thoughtful details all around, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax. Renate is a lovely hostess, always ready to answer questions. She welcomes you warmly, with a good sense of humor and a smile, and is genuinely helpful throughout the stay. I’m already looking forward to returning.

The balcony looks out toward the Limestone Alps and the castle ruins, which is a lovely bonus. Inside, the holiday apartment has two double bedrooms, a roomy bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen with space to eat. It’s in a wonderful spot in St. Gallen, Styria. I’ve stayed here several times and have only had positive experiences.

We felt so, so comfortable in this very historic house, decorated by Frau Dirninger with an artistic and inventive touch. Highly recommended, and we’ll gladly come back. Fam. Hufnagl

We showed up drenched and were welcomed and taken care of so warmly, even though it was just a one-night stay. The landlady was lovely. We’d happily stay here again.
