Ferienhaus Fleisch

We had loads to do both around the area and right at the property, from the games room and bar to the football pitch, outdoor sofas, BBQ, beer tap, and sauna. We rented the spacious, very clean Michael apartment for 13 people, and the location was excellent. Bed linen and towels were supplied, along with a huge range of amenities. The owner was friendly, and everything went smoothly.

The Fleisch family were so kind and accommodating, and you can tell they really care about their guests. We stayed five days in the FRED apartment, six adults, one child, and one toddler. The apartment was spotless and fully equipped, the view was beautiful, and the location was quiet. Communication before the trip was easy too. The sauna and bar were our favorites. We'd wholeheartedly recommend the place and will definitely return. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, warm regards from the Palatinate.

We can only give this place two stars, even though it's actually a nice place. We had first planned to come during the first winter of the pandemic, and the Fleisch family offered us the following year for obvious reasons. COVID numbers were high again then, and they kindly let us postpone once more. We spoke with Mrs. Fleisch several times in 2022 by phone and email, but the revised New Year's Eve offer didn't arrive until the end of October. The week had originally been €2980, but the new price was €4406. Energy costs had risen, sure, but nearly 50% felt outrageous. After we asked, they took €400 off. By then it was too late to find another place for New Year's Eve, so we accepted. Apartment Fred is listed for 10 people and 120 square meters, but adults have to stoop throughout the whole upper floor. The sofa was worn, with its faux leather peeling everywhere. The table downstairs only works for eight; for ten, you have to bring a desk down from upstairs, leaving little room in a kitchen where the two tables are already too big. There were plenty of glasses, but not enough water glasses, and only ten shot glasses. There also weren't ten small plates, large plates, or soup bowls. Basic items were missing too, like a grater, a proper coffee machine (there was only a Nespresso capsule machine), a potato masher, and pot holders. You can make do, but at that price I'd expect top-notch equipment. The Wi-Fi signal was strong, but the bandwidth only handled browsing and email, not streaming. There was no welcome drink either.

The common room is fantastic, and the rooms were clean and well kept. It's a quiet location, just five minutes from the mountain railway. I'd especially recommend the house for larger groups.
