Appartements Irene

We loved how peaceful it was being a little back from the lake, and getting there on foot was straightforward: the path goes through a residential area before you walk up the road toward the tourist information office. You can also drive, and free parking is available at the neighboring Hotel Sonne with a parking pass. Apartment Irene, Apartment 3 on the first floor, felt more like home than anywhere we’ve stayed. It was spotless, and we all slept really well. The living and dining space is combined, with a double bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the children’s room. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and filter coffee machine. There’s a roomy balcony and a drying rack for wet swimwear. Our two kids could play in the garden, which has some play equipment. Thanks for such a lovely stay. We’d happily recommend the apartment and Hotel Sonne, and we’ll definitely be back.

The best part for families is that staying here lets you use the facilities at Kinderhotel Sonnelino, including the beach, indoor pool, indoor and outdoor play areas. The place itself was clean, everyone was friendly, and they really made an effort. All top notch!

The location is great for walks in the forest and to the deer enclosure. It’s very clean, and everyone we met was friendly. Being part of the Sonnelino complex also means access to its large playground, animals, and lake access. A few things could be better: rooms 6 and 7 get extremely hot in warm weather, and pigeons on the children’s room roof are a nuisance. The kitchen pans are unusable since food sticks and they don’t spread heat properly. The living room couch isn’t very comfortable either.

The apartments are roomy and clean, the location is good, and it’s a very child-friendly place.
