The food and the servers were so good that the stay felt comfortable from the start. Breakfast had a great range of options, and I especially loved the live counter where a friendly woman made fresh omelettes and pancakes with a smile. It was a lovely way to start the morning. Dinner had only two choices, but they were quite accommodating with dietary restrictions. The servers were all very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The washroom could’ve used proper ventilation or an air freshener, and there was no sink by the toilet, so we had to go into the bathroom to wash our hands. Still, it was clean and everything else was comfortable. Free drinking water and coffee were available, and the other drinks were reasonably priced.

My waiter was great, and the tall man at the front desk was just as enthusiastic. The food was great, there was a free rail pass every day, and the modern rooms were cleaned really well. The showers were great too 😂. This is a very underrated hotel, and you can tell they didn’t cheap out on anything.

I booked a stay, then got bad family news two hours later and asked to cancel. They refused. Sad to see that in 2025 there’s no compassion, just money for a service they don’t even have to provide.

Our room was finished really nicely, and the spa was extensive, even though work was still going on. The hotel felt a bit cold, partly because the sliding door still needed to be installed. The bar wasn’t especially inviting either, though perhaps that’s because it’s still due to be replaced.
