Hotel Metropol

We were exhausted and couldn't find a room at the other hotels, but Manisha at reception helped us get settled here and made everything easy and comfortable. Alex was helpful too. I stayed with my family, and we had a good experience: nice hotel, good breakfast, and comfortable beds. Thank you very much, highly recommended.

The room had insects, the elevators smelled bad, and the ventilation barely worked. In the bathroom there was mold and dirt, a badly stained shower curtain, an unpleasant smell, and no hairdryer. The toilet paper was on a dirty bin, and the toilet brushes and bins were unhygienic. At breakfast, clean cutlery was put on chairs before being moved to the tables. Absolutely disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Not recommended. I need another vacation just to forget that one night there.

After a long drive, Manisha at reception got the paperwork and our room sorted very quickly. She was cheerful and a big help. The hotel felt clean and safe, with comfortable beds, and it's very close to the highway. Thank you, Manisha.

We were there with a large group because the hotel is close to the Festspielhaus. The staff were lovely, and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Rooms feel like business accommodation and don't have much character, but they were very clean and quiet, with wonderfully comfortable beds and great showers. My one wish is for a kettle in the room for hot drinks. I understand the explanation I was given, that the old building might not cope if everyone boiled kettles. I'd happily stay again.
