We booked from December 31, 2025, to January 5, 2026, but left after just one night and canceled the rest. Room 11 on the second floor was poorly heated, even though it was well below freezing outside. It wasn’t clean either: there was a spider in the shower and an insect in the toothbrush holder. There was also an unidentifiable smell, and although we’d booked a double room, we got an economy double room with very old furniture. It turned out the awful smell came from the mattress. We spoke to the hotel owner and changed the bedding, but that didn’t help. We swapped the mattress for one from another room and left the next day. Breakfast was very poor, just rolls, cold cuts and cornflakes, and none of it seemed really fresh. In more than 30 countries and over 100 hotels, this was the worst room we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. We tried to get the cancellation fees refunded through Booking.com, but the owner refused. One more thing: between the mattress and fitted sheet there was a cover that wasn’t white anymore, with black stains. It clearly hadn’t been washed or changed in a long time, and it smelled bad too. I uploaded a picture of the mattress being changed as proof.

The breakfast was really good, and having a sauna made the stay even nicer. We had a wonderful time there.
