JUFA Hotel Schladming

We had a good stay overall. The food was good, service attentive, and the staff were friendly, so check-in was easy and the documents were ready quickly at checkout, along with a safe-trip wish. The hotel is very close to the Planai ski lift, about a five-minute walk, and has a roomy ski storage area with a boot dryer. I also appreciated the children's corner and playroom. Arrival and getting settled went smoothly. There were some things that really need attention. There was a lot of dust between the mattress and bed frame, and the walls in the rooms were moldy, which is not acceptable. The TV was blocked, so I couldn't connect a USB to watch what I needed. One table was set for eight, but the frame made the seats behind the tabletop impossible to use. That shouldn't happen.

Our son suddenly became ill, so we had to cancel the reservation. The hotel still charged us the full cost of the stay, even though booking said half of what we paid would be refunded.

JUFA hotel is clean and well organized, with a lovely lobby for children, outdoor seating, and a nice restaurant. It's right in the center of town, and we'll come back. Our stay started badly: the TV in 401 didn't work, and Fannie moved us to another room, 305, which was already our third room. Its TV was out too. The next day, maintenance found the issue and fixed all the TVs that weren't working on the hotel's upper level. At checkout, I told Herr Peter how frustrated I was. He understood and gave us a discount for the trouble. I appreciated how kindly he spoke to me and handled my stress with care. His professionalism is why I recommend the hotel. My wife and I arrived Monday night, July 7th, and left Wednesday, July 9th.
