Every room seems to have its own story, and the place is spotless. We were lucky with the weather, so we could sit outside, enjoy the view, and have some really tasty food. The personal touches and the feeling that everyone is there for you make it a very special place. The staff are super friendly.

We spent two nights here and would definitely come back. The rooms were cosy, everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast, which was included in the room price, and dinner were both very good. We also enjoyed the wellness area, with a relaxation room, sauna, massage parlour, and hot tub.

We had a great six-day stay and would gladly come back. The family-run atmosphere is warm, and parking was no problem when we arrived by car. Our spacious room was very clean, and the half-board meals were good at both breakfast and dinner. The dining room feels pleasant and not crowded, with three separate rooms and no more than ten tables in each. The clean spa has wet and dry saunas, a jacuzzi, and a large solarium where you can relax in front of the snowy peaks after skiing or hiking. There are plenty of hikes nearby, and Kitzbhuil and Wilder Kaiser - Brixental are 20-30 minutes away. Der Schwendterwirt is in Tirol, about 90 minutes from Munich airport.

Kössen skiing resort is only 6-7 minutes away by car, which made this a great base for winter fun. We stayed for seven nights over Christmas 2019 and had a perfect holiday. The spa, sauna and jacuzzi were a relaxing bonus, and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cosy, and Christmas Eve was organised so well that the place felt like home. We really enjoyed our Christmas here and would recommend it to everyone.
