Mörisch

We stayed in the junior suite. The room was okay, but there was no AC, and it got very hot with no fresh air moving through. The bathroom could use an update, especially a walk-in shower. Dinner was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

The golf setup was a fun extra: the hotel’s buggies take you to the adjoining course, and they even brought my lunch package to hole 6. I also loved unwinding by the pond or at the private lakeside spot, just a four-minute drive away. There are indoor and outdoor pools too. Hotel Das Moerisch is family-run and set near Millstätter lake. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, though not every one has air conditioning. The owners and staff were warm and made us feel at home. Meals were a highlight, from a generous breakfast selection to dinners with dishes that felt Michelin-star-worthy. It’s a lovely choice for a romantic week away, and the free guest card makes it easier to explore the many sights and activities in the Karinthië region.

The grounds had a real Zen feel, and the golf course was easy to get to. We also enjoyed the lovely pool and spa, plus private access to Millstatter See. The food was outstanding and there was plenty of it. The property was immaculate, and every staff member we dealt with was polite and efficient. Sigi Moerisch is a hands-on owner who puts a lot of effort into getting things right for guests. His sister Elizabeth also works hard and has a sharp eye for detail. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing holiday. Prosit!

The north side of Millstätter See is a lovely setting. From rooms on the hotel's south side, the view is magnificent and there's plenty of sunshine. The rooms are comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. There was plenty to enjoy between meals: a substantial breakfast buffet with fresh, ripe fruit, plus a tasty afternoon snack buffet. Dinner was gourmet cooking, with dishes put together creatively and skillfully. The spa is very comfortable and has several kinds of sauna, including a Finnish one.
