The hotel is in a nice spot, with a giant pond and beautiful mountain views. The rooms were very clean, attractive, and well designed. Breakfast and dinner are included, though I wasn't impressed with the food's quality or quantity. I'd still recommend the place.

We'd just come from Hotel Jama in Postojna, Slovenia, and the rooms here came as quite a shock. Hotel Steiner cost twice as much, yet felt like little more than a dressed-up youth hostel. There were a few sweet little details, but nothing about the experience seemed to justify the price.

Mr. Steiner and his staff were polite, friendly, and spoke several languages. Our apartment was modern and very clean, and the location was ideal for enjoying the lake and nature from the terrace.

The room, breakfast, and beach area were all great. We had half board, and on the first night we didn't like that Wiener schnitzel was the only dinner choice. They did have a good buffet with salad, soups, and other nice things.

We sat in the restaurant for 25 minutes without anyone serving us. Staff even walked past and still didn't come over. Terrible service. We won't be back.
