Winterresort Mooshaus

The ski-in/ski-out location is great, and the hotel itself is elegant, with lovely decor, phenomenal views, and a stunning sky pool. But the pool area gets uncomfortably cold as soon as you get out of the water, which really takes away from it. Our room smelled strongly of cigarettes. We complained, but nothing was done. Some things in the room were broken or not in good condition, and there was no fridge, mini-bar, or tea and coffee setup. That was disappointing for the quality the hotel seemed to promise. A few staff members were kind, but we found the service in general shockingly rude, both at the hotel and in its shop. The polite staff we spoke to said they were leaving, which made us wonder if things were unpleasant behind the scenes. The spa was another letdown. Its dated look and design felt completely out of place with the modern rest of the hotel. I didn’t want to use it, and I heard other guests had avoided it for the same reason. It really needs an update. With the poor service and lack of attention to detail, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel for business and pleasure over the past 5 years, and it feels so homely that leaving is hard. The Gerber family and their team clearly put thought into the details that make a stay easy and enjoyable. Even when the hotel is regularly full, there’s so much space that it doesn’t feel crowded. The food is fantastic, the staff are great, and the service is excellent. Ski-in/ski-out access is a big plus, and there’s plenty to keep both adults and kids busy. The Sky Pool and bar amaze me every time, while the kids have lots to do and the adults get some downtime. We’re already looking forward to coming back next season.

The ski boot heaters could have worked better. Also, children were able to enter the adults' sauna area freely, despite the age limit.

Seeing snow and trying snowboarding for the first time made this trip special for my boyfriend and me. We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and comfortable, and we liked both the breakfast and dinner. The sauna and sky pool were favorites.
