Hotel Regina

We stayed four days over Christmas and had such a great experience. The staff were wonderful, and the rooms were almost perfect. We chose it for its location close to the gondola, then found there was so much more to like. This is one of the best places in Solden. We’ll be back!

The location made getting around easy, with a bus station and the Wee Skiing Pass area nearby. I stayed for four days and found the hotel clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. I’ll definitely come back!

The guest card issue was a real hassle. We asked several times before arriving for the free public transport card so we could get to the hotel, but were told to use the free ski bus. Even after a whole week, the card never arrived by email. Our ski pass had expired the day before, so we had to pay for the bus to Ötztal, an unexpected extra cost. There was a lot to like at Regina Hotel Suites in Sölden. The gondola is about 150 meters away, and the street-level ski depot made dealing with skis and boots much easier. Each room has a private locker. A large padlock might be useful if you want extra security for your gear. Our spacious room had a cooktop, hood, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The separate bath and shower were nice, and having two toilets turned out to be very practical. Cleaning was efficient: we came back from breakfast one morning to find the room spotless. The restaurant staff were polite and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the freshly made omelets. After skiing, the spa was a welcome place to relax, though the pool wasn’t warm enough for a proper swim. The hotel’s comfort, food, location, ski facilities and general service made for a very enjoyable stay despite the transport-card problem. We’d recommend it.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere when my friend and I went in for a drink, but the bartender was so rude that we were terribly disappointed. There was no customer service at all. We won’t be back.
