Top Hotel Hochgurgl

We had fondue at Top Hotel Hochgurgl yesterday, and Otto made the evening such a pleasure. He was calm and professional, quietly keeping the table on track so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. He kept an eye on all the little things, from timing and refills to clearing plates at just the right moment and making sure we had what we needed before we asked. His attention and diligence were remarkable, and he was always one step ahead without being intrusive. Service this thoughtful and consistent is rare. Otto is a real credit to the hotel, five stars without hesitation.

The skiing, spa, and warm welcome back to the hotel each day made this a stay we'll never forget. Special thanks to Dimitrije, Yousef, Mateo, Serena, and Balentine. You were all exceptional. We're booking for next January. Thanks for making our time so special, Zoe and Will xxx.

This was our second stay at the Top, and it is an excellent hotel. The staff stood out, especially Sebastián at the front desk, Otto, who kindly served our fondue, and the lovely Argentinian waitress in the main restaurant, whose name I didn't get. Housekeeping let the team down this time. Rubbish, a sock, and a stylus from previous guests were left in the room, and there was a stain on the duvet. You really need to get on top of that issue. Everyone gets one mistake, and the rest of the stay was so good that it didn't spoil the experience. We'll be back.

Otto made the hotel bar one of the best parts of my stay. He’s from Colombia and now lives in Barcelona, and has an easy warmth that makes you feel welcome right away. Friendly and happy to chat, he never gets in your space, and it’s clear he cares about his work. The room felt relaxed and stylish, a nice place to wind down. The cocktails were great too, but what stuck with me was the conversation. Otto can make having a drink feel like a little experience, instead of just ordering at a bar. Stop in if you’re staying at the hotel. You’ll probably leave in a better mood. Highly recommend.
