Plaza Inn Salzburg City (ex. Amedia Express Salzburg City)

The key cards caused trouble at check-in, leaving us waiting outside our room for about 30 minutes in the cold. That was very uncomfortable after a long journey. The room itself was also in a poor state: dust was visible everywhere and there were cobwebs. We explained this to reception and asked them to clean it, but nothing was done during our stay. The staff showed little concern about the problems or interest in resolving them. For the price, the accommodation and service were not justified, and the price, quality, and service ratio was very poor. The hotel didn't deliver the standard it claims to offer. We wouldn't recommend it or stay here again.

The rooms were decent and had what we needed, but the service was another story. At check-in, the woman at the counter was curt, gave us only one key, and offered no information. The hotel also needs better signs showing where the lifts are. Reception was supposed to open at 9am for checkout, but nobody was there when we left at 9:15. The computer for self-service check-in and checkout wasn't working either. The location is away from the center and attractions, so expect a walk. The staff need reviewing.

The reception staff were helpful and easygoing, and the rooms felt modern, clean, and recently renovated. It was a convenient spot near the river, within walking distance of the center and right by a bus station with service to the airport. I was completely satisfied with my accommodation in Salzburg and recommend it.

Everything I wanted to see in Salzburg was an easy walk from Hotel PLAZA INN Salzburg City, which made getting around simple. My room was a little small, but cozy and comfortable, just right for a relaxing night after exploring. A lovely stay, and I'd recommend it as a handy base.
