AMADEA - Cityhotel Salzburg

We made good use of the Salzburg Mobility Ticket the hotel provided for our stay, including trips to Werfen, Zell Am See, and Hallstadt (Bad Ischl) at no cost. Fresh bakery treats were left for us each morning too. The room was spacious and comfortable, and evenings were peaceful with no street noise. Amadea suited our needs really well. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station and old town, and we’d happily stay again.

We liked the comfortable carpeted room, and the bed was good quality. The hosts add thoughtful touches, like morning bread, a small espresso area with water and tea, notes from previous guests, and a bookshelf. It’s a modest little boutique hotel a few minutes’ walk from the pedestrian zone, with very competitive prices for the area. We didn’t see staff, but contactless check-in and check-out worked without any problems.

We only stayed one night, but we’d come back next time we’re in Salzburg. The room was clean, comfortable, and big enough for two, and my partner really enjoyed it. When you’re tired from traveling, it’s nice to find snacks and water on each floor, along with local bread outside the door in the morning. They also had free transport tickets and luggage storage, which I especially appreciated as a backpacker. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a comfortable stay in clean rooms and enjoyed the breakfast treats left outside our door each morning. There’s free coffee and tea available around the clock. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old city, and for the price, this hotel is great value.
