Alpina Family, Spa & Sporthotel

We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end, and this is easily one of our best hotel experiences in Europe. We paid for the early check-in option, which included breakfast that day, and there was an abundant choice of food. The location and views were lovely, and we enjoyed the infinity pool, wellness area, kids’ activities, and food. What really made Alpina Alpendorf special was the friendly, welcoming staff. It may be a little expensive, but I think it’s well worth it. Highly recommended!

The pools and wellness area were a real treat. The outdoor heated rooftop pool had incredible mountain views, and the indoor pool was a good size and lovely and warm. There were plenty of loungers, complimentary drinks around the pool and spa, an indoor slide the kids loved, and a fab gym. After a day on the slopes, afternoon tea was a lovely touch. Breakfast and dinner were incredible, and the pizza was fantastic too. The hotel is just steps from the gondola, with a heated boot room only a few metres from its entrance. Service was incredible, with professional, kind staff who went above and beyond. We felt so well looked after and came away rested and relaxed. Thank you, Alpina. Staying here was a real treat.

The really well-equipped gym was the biggest surprise. Hotels rarely have one like this, so I didn’t need to skip my training sessions. It’s a family-run place in a perfect spot beside the gondola to the peak. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of Austrian-style options, fresh eggs, and waffles. Our room also had a Nespresso machine, which was a plus for us.

The rooms are more like apartments, with loads of space, a minibar, and very good cleaning service. The food is high-end, with a rich buffet and breakfasts, plus several bars. Everyone was smiling and ready to help. There’s parking right outside or in the indoor garage. Prices are reasonable for a four-star hotel of this quality, right on the ski slope, with massages, spa and wellness facilities, and very good food.
