A great place to rest after a long drive before heading into the Dolomites. It's cozy and clean, has an excellent gourmet restaurant, and the owners are friendly and speak English. Parking is easy, and it's dog friendly. A well kept garden has sun chairs and a stream running through it. There's also a cute church on the hill above the village, about a 20 minute hike away, which was a nice way to stretch our legs after the road trip.

If you're after some peace in the middle of nature, this historical hotel in Sillian is a lovely option. The hardworking, considerate ladies running it do a great job. Rooms are spacious and have modern facilities, good sound insulation, and rain showers. Breakfast has plenty of choices too. Definitely recommended, and the nature around Sillian is amazing.

The spa is a lovely place to unwind, and the rooms are cozy. We also enjoy the bar service, afternoon snacks, and especially the wide tea selection. Dinner is a highlight too, with a different menu each day. Our Finnish cross-country skiing group has been coming to Hotel Strasserwirt for years because of the food and excellent service, and we're already looking forward to visiting again next year. Best wishes to the whole hotel team!

We had a magical visit, and the food and service were great. It's a really good spot for skiing and cross-country skiing. The only odd thing was a funny smell in room #303 coming from the shower.

The sauna area is a great extra, and there are activities to round out the stay. We ate really well at both breakfast and dinner, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We ended up here by chance, but now I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It felt like home. Thanks for a lovely stay.
