We loved the hotel’s mix of tradition and modern style. The rooms were comfortable, with thoughtful luxurious touches, and the rooftop spa, restaurant dinner, breakfast, and drinks at the bar were all enjoyable. The setting is ideal for exploring the Salzkammergut region, and the lake views from the sixth-floor spa jacuzzi are stunning. Most staff were polite and friendly. One breakfast was uncomfortable, though. The chef preparing the hot dishes was unfriendly and unwilling to speak English. It wasn’t just the language issue, but his brusque manner made me feel disrespected as a guest. He also spoke about me in German to other guests while I was there, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. I told management, and they apologized, which I appreciated, but I felt a more considerate follow-up would have suited the incident. That behavior didn’t match the hotel’s otherwise high service standard. I’d still recommend the hotel for its comfort, beautiful location, and facilities.

The room was pretty average. The circular window in the WC door let light into the room whenever someone used the bathroom at night, waking the person who was sleeping. We also heard loud music every night, often playing very late, presumably from the restaurant downstairs. The location is great, and breakfast was AMAZING, with loads of high-quality choices and great coffee. The spa was lovely too, and the warm pool had a beautiful view. It was a nice stay overall, with a few issues. Definitely recommend it for breakfast and the spa.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Post am See, and want to thank Wolfgang, Monika, and the whole team. The facilities, food, and service at this excellent health spa resort were outstanding. From the wellness areas to the dining options, everything felt designed for comfort and relaxation. Staff across the complexes, including the front desk, were friendly, attentive, and clearly cared about their work. We’ll happily recommend it for a high-quality wellness getaway. See you again.

We were lucky to join a wine tasting when we arrived, and I also enjoyed the free yoga lesson. The spa was very nice, with complimentary tea, nuts, and fruit. Breakfast was fabulous and served until 12 am, which was very kind. They also provide a daily newspaper at breakfast listing the day’s activities. Great place and excellent service.
