Blue Mountain Hotel

The hotel is in a beautiful spot with amazing mountain views. Staff were always kind and helpful, and breakfast was great, especially the hot, crispy bread. The restaurant serves delicious regional food at affordable prices. I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere was simply lovely, and the views fit it perfectly. I gave this place five stars across the board because I see the potential and vision of the new owners. They bought it about a year ago and clearly care about their guests. Improvements are already underway, and I’m sure patience will pay off. We loved it here.

A great hotel for motorcyclists. There’s a closed parking area, and we had no security concerns. The staff were kind and helpful, and the prices were good. My tip for riders: use the hotel as a base for at least three days, with a day for nockalmstrasse, one for the mountains south of Villach toward italy and slovenia, and another for glockgrossner. We’ll do that again next year. Highly recommended.

We only stopped for one night, but the place had a cool lodge feel, with great couches and big-screen TVs in the lobby. The room’s Amazon TV was fun to use, with shows you could choose, pause, and rewind. There were also rooms with table tennis and billiards, which would be great for families with kids. The free parking around the building was handy, and the owner, I think, kindly stayed up until 11pm for our late arrival. Breakfast was a standard spread of bread, yogurt, sliced meat, and cheese. My mother wasn’t feeling well, so the owner gave me a little tray to bring her food and hot tea. The Wi-Fi was free but very weak in the rooms. I could really only use it in the breakfast area. The main downside was the drive up, around 10 km on narrow, winding mountain roads. Going up at 11pm was one of the scariest rides we’ve had. It kept getting higher, and we felt like we might fall off. Still, the place was clean, nice, and fun, with awesome views.
