Hotel Tirolerhof

We’ve visited a few times, and last night’s meal was wonderful. We also had a pleasant time at the bar afterward. A special compliment to Luka, a great host and a real asset to this beautiful hotel. He works hard and makes guests feel welcome. The hotel has plenty of facilities too, with a wide range of options listed on its website.

The food was excellent, and the gym is great! Beautiful spa and rooms too.

We come to this hotel for dinner once or twice each year. The salad bar, main dishes, and cheese bar are all good. This year I also tried the gym. It costs 15 euro, including fresh towels for showering afterward. The equipment is A-brand, with enough variety for a solid workout.

We hope to come back again. This was my third ski holiday at Tirolerhof, and it’s a brilliant place. The hotel is outstanding overall, with comfortable, spacious rooms, a fantastic spa and gym, and everything kept super clean. Breakfast is an extensive, tasty buffet. At dinner there’s always a vegetarian option and a lighter choice, like fish, which we really enjoyed after often having a big Tyrolean lunch up the mountain. The staff are helpful, especially Katherine on reception, who has been very kind. The owners are nearly always around, at breakfast or reception and even helping serve dinner. They clearly take pride in the hotel and its high quality and friendly atmosphere. Some dinner staff have changed over the years, but the service is always professional and efficient. My German isn’t very good, so it’s great that most staff can speak some English. The ski room is excellent, with heated boot racks. The hotel isn’t right by the lifts, but the ski bus stop is outside and the ride to Rastkogel lift takes two minutes. The free Tuxertal buses are clean, efficient, and come every ten minutes.
