We stayed in the Top 1 apartment, which is roomy enough for a family with small children, though they sleep on a sofa bed. It’s in a renovated building, and the owners are pleasant. There are lots of lovely places nearby. The only minor downside was the heavier traffic on the adjoining road.

Our group from Hamburg had a great holiday at Haus Hermine (Umhausen). I’ve stayed in plenty of guesthouses around Germany and Austria, but the hosts here were especially attentive, particularly the lovely Maria. Everything was new and in excellent condition, from the kitchen and beds to the other amenities. We went skiing and gathered first in a room with ski boot storage and heated boot hangers, something we’d never come across before. The Kuprian family also keep chickens, so fresh eggs were on the table every day, which is a real rarity for guests in ski resorts. Thanks again, and see you next time!
