Hotel Gasthof Stuibenfall

The waiter was so kind and careful with our allergies, checking with us before serving anything marked “may contain.” We really appreciated that. We stopped for dessert and coffee, and the banana split, brownie, and apfelstrudel were all amazing. I recommend visiting the restaurant!

For drinks or coffee, the Gasthof restaurant is fine. For a meal, there are definitely better and cheaper places in the valley. The Keisernschatrn was a joke, and the Grösstl was too.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but after climbing Stuibenfall, their restaurant was just what we wanted. Really tasty food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

After the klettersteig, this is a nice spot to stop for a drink and recover. We stayed for lunch too, and the menu had more variety than the usual schnitzel or grillwürstl. The schnitzl was delicious with a good bite, and maybe the best in the Ötztal. The fries were fantastic, crisp and tasty enough to impress me as a Belgian. Preiselbeerenmarmelade came with the schnitzl by default, as it should. The Schlutzkrapfen with Spinach was excellent, with plenty of parmesan and a just-right serving. We ended with Kaiserschmarrn, which tasted great and wasn’t dry, with a nice egg flavor. Both preiselbeeren and apfelmus came alongside, and the portion was just right for two to share as dessert. I’ll come back to this Gasthof when I’m nearby. Thanks for serving us!
