Appartement Pension Backenhausl FERIENWOHNUNGEN Chalets Hutten Komfortzimmer

My room was large, and I loved the balcony. The owners are lovely and attentive. The bedroom was a little dusty, but overall I had a good experience.

The room had been fully paid for, but they refused to accommodate me, saying there was no availability. I was left alone at night in a foreign country, homeless and in tears, and had to find emergency shelter elsewhere. At first I thought it had to be a misunderstanding and acted in good faith. I complied fully a second time because I believed them, but then they stopped communicating with me. They still refuse to return any of my payment. They had taken the full amount while renting my room to other guests and turning me away from the room I’d paid for. This felt like theft and exploitation. Where I come from, people aren’t treated this way. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, involving theft and cruelty.

My flight was cancelled at the last minute, so I contacted the five hotels I’d booked and explained my situation, asking if they could reduce the cancellation fee or let me rebook for other dates. Four kindly offered either a refund or a new booking. Pension Bäckenhäusl was the only one that said no to both. I’d have been glad to see a little more understanding and humanity from the owners.

A great place to spend the night while crossing the Alps. The room was large and comfortable, the owners were very friendly, and breakfast was awesome. Lovely scenery too. Definitely recommend!
