The lake access is incredibly beautiful, and we’re already hoping to come back soon for a few days away from everything. These villas have an old fashioned feel, with their creaky floors and imperfections, which is exactly what gives them their appeal. If you want five star luxury, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you enjoy a little turn of the century character and a special location, it’s a real summer retreat. Thanks for the experience.

We stumbled across this historic house and were delighted by it. Designed by architect Bulfon, the old villa sits right on Lake Wörthersee and has a magnificent private beach. The rooms are clean and authentic, and the hosts were wonderful. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the town center, but the peaceful setting makes that perfectly fine. We were even offered a late check-out, which isn’t always possible. A heartfelt thank you to the Hecht family. We’ll be back soon! Philipp

A quick walk takes you into the Veldener society, if that’s what you’re after, but I preferred cooling off from the private jetty. The house is right on Lake Wörthersee, with a calming summer breeze and enough distance from the bustle. It’s an easy place to relax. The house dates from 1900 and needs a careful touch when you open things. It wobbles and squeaks a little, and that’s part of its charm.

The owners were truly attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Our beautiful apartment had a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, and the beach and lake were fantastic. We had a lovely, restful holiday, with absolutely outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back.

The beds are old, but very good. It’s 1.5 km from the center of Velden, and you get a private beach at this authentic house. Air mattresses and a surfboard are free to use. Definitely recommended.
