The lake was fine, and the boat trip on st Lucia 2 was fine too. But don’t eat somewhere selling Schnitzel with Rice for 5€. It’s gross and doesn’t even look like Schnitzel.

A lovely spot to enjoy a cocktail on a sunny day.

The coffee was great, and so was the view. I loved the terrace.

We found this lovely guesthouse in early July 2013 by following the "Zimmer Frei" sign, with no booking. The owners welcomed us so warmly and gave us their best, most beautiful room at a very reasonable price. The breakfast wasn’t extensive, but there was certainly enough, and it was excellent. We spent the afternoon by the water, enjoying the sun, the lake and delicious cocktails. Being right in the center of Velden makes the guesthouse even more appealing. We’ll definitely return.

Velden is a nice place for an aperitif or a seafood dinner at reasonable prices. We had a relaxing stay with a view over Lake Wörthersee.
