My family and I stayed at this hotel for five nights and enjoyed what it had to offer, from the great service to the rooms and accommodations. But on our second to last night, I went to the newly opened tapas bar for drinks. As I was leaving alone, without the rest of my family, the hotel owner came over and told me what I was wearing was inappropriate and that I had to “cover up.” I think she wouldn’t have approached me if I’d been with my family. There was no mention of a dress code anywhere in the hotel. We’d planned to have dinner there the next night, but canceled the reservation. We won’t be coming back to the tapas bar. I also suffer from some psychological conditions, and that comment left a very bad taste in my mouth. It ruined the evening for me and my family.

The setting is stunning, and the hotel looks every bit as good as its photos, maybe even better. Everything was spotless, from my spacious, high-ceilinged room and roomy bathroom with a bathtub to the little details like fresh peonies in the ladies' cloakroom. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast on the lovely patio was a treat, with egg timers for different levels of doneness and fresh fruit and vegetable juicers. Lena, Alex and the whole team were warm, attentive, and spoke excellent English. As a solo traveller visiting the area for the first time, I felt safe and had everything close by: shops, bakeries, cafés and boutiques. Getting into the lake was easy, with several access points. I had a wonderful four nights and would happily recommend the hotel and return. Next time, Mr Wrann, I hope to meet you without getting your title wrong!

I've been returning for years, and the place still has all its charm. It's both lovely to look at and comfortable to stay in. I absolutely love it.

We loved our stay and would gladly come back. The lakefront setting is gorgeous, the food is superb, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. It's also a handy base for exploring Lake Bled and Ljubljana, while the town itself is pleasant to wander around.

The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and I especially like the cosy beds. Breakfast is hard to beat, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has the best beach in town, too. We had another wonderful short break here. My compliments to the family Wrann for doing such a fantastic job. I'll be back.
