The rooms were spacious, the sheets fresh and clean, and check-in and checkout were easy. Staff were friendly. There were plenty of young guests, who can sometimes be loud, but our room was so well soundproofed that we didn’t hear them and slept really well.

Just a two-minute walk from the train station, and a very good deal for the price and location. The room was clean and spacious. Check-in was smooth overall, though there was a payment issue that a staff member resolved. There are lots of self-service check-in counters, so you can get through quickly without queuing. I’d consider staying again if I’m in Vienna soon 🙂

The rooms were just okay, and for me the location was the only reason to give it one star. The self check-in took longer than checking in with a person, which made me wonder what the staff were there for. I had a private room and went to drop off the keys. The receptionist said he couldn’t talk right then, even though answering guest questions is basic work. I noticed his behavior with everyone and think he should be fired immediately. It’s a shame they call themselves a friendly-hostel. People still stay because of the prices, and maybe that explains the arrogance. The brand will go downhill with staff this useless and disgusting. A&O is hands down the worst place I’ve stayed, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you can afford somewhere slightly better, skip it. The brand is for broke and homeless staff, so go there if you want to be treated that way.

The room was warm and quiet, with clean towels and linens, and the internet worked brilliantly. We had a double room with a private bathroom on the sixth floor, and there’s a bar by reception. Check-in was a little confusing, but we were very pleased with our one-night stay before our flight. The hotel is close to the main train station in a quiet area.
