Altwienerhof Boutique Hotel

Such a warm welcome, and the room was comfortable with plenty of space. The location is fantastic too. I loved the colorful walls and paintings. 💗🌷🎨

We felt right at home thanks to the incredibly friendly owner. Our room was clean, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. It was easy to get around from here, with public transport close by. Schönbrunn Palace and Wiener Stadthalle were both nearby as well. The location was perfect, and I’d happily recommend the hotel for its service and setting.

It was easy to reach other places from this hotel, and the area was relatively quiet for a city. As a light sleeper, I slept without any trouble. Our host was so friendly and made a point of greeting us every day. The room was spacious and tidy. Breakfast in bed was on the small side, but really tasty and a nice way to start the day.

The location on a side street kept noise to a minimum, and even with the city reaching 35°C, the air conditioning made for a comfortable night. We’d walked over from West Banhoff station feeling unsure about the area, but Mr Panus welcomed us so warmly and showed us around the apartment. We quickly felt we’d found a gem. The bedroom was huge, with a bed to match. There was a kitchen tucked neatly into a cupboard arrangement, with everything set up for preparing full meals if we wanted. A table by the window looked onto a courtyard garden and made a lovely spot for breakfast. We thought we’d need to get our own breakfast provisions, but Panus put out fresh produce each morning in a help-yourself cabinet on the landing. The shower room and WC were spacious and clean, with plenty of nice extras. Paintings and artistic touches throughout suited the Viennese rooms. A fabulous place to stay in a fabulous city.
