Angelika Apartments

My friend and I got to Vienna early and asked the property if we could drop our luggage before check-in so we wouldn't have to carry it around. They said we could come after the previous guests left. We arrived around 11 a.m. just to leave our bags, then left so the apartment could be cleaned. When we returned at about 16.30 for check-in, nothing had changed. There was glitter and hair on the floor, hair on the bed and in the shower. It hadn't been cleaned at all. We contacted the property and were told the cleaner hadn't “cleaned up as thoroughly as usual” because we'd wanted to come early. We had only dropped our things and left so she could clean. After that, they stopped answering calls and texts. We asked for a refund because the bed was dirty and we didn't want to sleep in it, and the shower was too dirty to use. They didn't respond. They also never asked for photos of our IDs, so they hadn't even checked us in.
