Central living - Stephansdom Apartments

The room was comfortable, and the owner was helpful. We had a really pleasant stay, and the location was excellent. The owner even texted us to let us know we’d left clothes in the wardrobe.

The location was the one good point. We spent almost two hours trying to find the place in 0-degree weather because they gave us the wrong address, and it was very difficult to find help. There’s no sign with the name at the entrance, either. The service was awful, there’s nowhere to store your bags, and checkout is at 10 am. The bathroom wasn’t comfortable.

The building is residential and well located, but it’s in terrible condition. When I arrived, the access codes sent by email didn’t work, so I couldn’t get into the apartment and had to rent a nearby hotel instead. After several complaints and sending video evidence, I eventually got a refund through Booking. Do not rent these apartments!

The bed was so comfortable, and the WiFi worked perfectly. The owner was also great about communication, replying quickly to questions and changes. The flat itself is spacious and beautiful, right in the heart of Vienna, and has a bath and shower, kettle, coffee maker, and a handy little “kitchen in a cupboard” if you want to cook. With so many cafes and restaurants around, though, you might not need to. There’s a great bar around the corner called “Banes Bar” and a recommended restaurant just opposite. We had a lovely few days, and when we come back to this special city, I’d happily book the flat again. It was perfect in every way.
