The room was clean and had plenty of towels, but it felt rather old. There were hardly any outlets, so I had to unplug the bedside light to charge my phone. The light and TV cables were lying on the floor as if the room were being renovated. There's no air conditioning, just a fan, which did the job well enough since it wasn't very hot during our visit.

We picked this place because the zoo was within walking distance and we could leave the car there for a small fee. The rooms were clean and nice. The building has an older style, but the matching decor gave it a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was good.

The room didn't look anything like the pictures, and the property is old and clearly needs repairs. We found malfunctioning taps, a squeaky floor, loose door handles, a damaged toilet, and a poorly fitted bathroom with odd alignments. The corridor lamp wasn't working when we arrived, and the curtains were coming loose at the top. The list went on. There was almost no staff around, just one rude waiter. He wouldn't help us or let us speak to the manager. Breakfast was inadequate, and he made no effort to replenish it. We reported all of this, but nothing came of it. It was a very bad experience and a total loss for us. Avoid this hotel and don't waste your money.

The building has a lot of charm, and the staff were very friendly. It's conveniently next to the palace, with some nice cafes down the road. We spent a weekend exploring Vienna, and our room was spacious and clean. I only wish the curtains blocked out more light. Apart from that, no complaints, and it was great value.

The location is a good part of the deal, and the price is very good for it. It's a lovely old, family-owned hotel with a great restaurant where locals often gather.
